Avaya Ranked as an Innovator in the Info-Tech Research Group’s 2016 Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN Vendor Landscape

Santa Clara, Calif. - Sept. 22, 2016 - Avaya announced today that it has been ranked as an Innovator in the Info-Tech Research Group’s 2016 Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN Vendor Landscape. Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscape reports recognize outstanding vendors in the technology marketplace. Assessing vendors by the strength of their offering and their strategy for the enterprise, Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscapes pay tribute to the contribution of exceptional vendors in a particular category.

The 2016 Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN Vendor Landscape evaluated nine networking vendors who offer broad capabilities across wired and wireless infrastructure, subsequently placing them in one of four categories. Vendors and their products are evaluated by: features, usability, affordability and architecture; and viability, strategy, reach and channel. Vendors recognized as Innovators demonstrated innovative product strengths that act as their competitive advantage in appealing to niche segments of the market.

The report also highlighted three trends with major impacts for IT: unified management and application visibility; the escalating demands from Internet of Things, and that SDN is here to stay as it is only through automation and orchestration that companies will be able to survive the pace of change.

Avaya Networking was recognized by Info-Tech Research Group for “compelling offerings for BYOD and Internet of Things (IoT).” The company’s long-term focus on unified communications has driven innovation in networking to support all the requirements needed for high-quality connectivity for mobility/BYOD and IoT use cases, ensuring that device on-boarding, policy enforcement and security are accomplished with ease, if not built-in as a default.
