Alan Masarek is President and Chief Executive Officer. He brings over 30 years of software and cloud-based business experience.
Alan is an industry innovator with deep expertise in enterprise communications, information technology and business services. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Vonage Holdings Corp. In this role, which he held from November 2014 to June 2020, Alan led the company through an era of transformation from a VoIP-based residential phone provider into a global enterprise cloud communications company. Over the course of his tenure, Vonage completed eight acquisitions and its market capitalization increased severalfold. As importantly, Mr. Masarek led a revitalization of Vonage’s culture, creating a talent-driven organization with a culture of agility, technology innovation and customer centricity.
Prior to Vonage, Alan served as Director, Chrome & Apps at Google, Inc. from June 2012 until October 2014, following Google’s acquisition of his prior company, Quickoffice, Inc. Alan was Co-founder and CEO of Quickoffice from June 2007 to June 2012. Under his leadership, Quickoffice became one of the world’s most widely used mobile productivity software solutions, engaging more than 26 million registered users at the time of Google’s purchase.
Alan earned his M.B.A., with Distinction, from Harvard Business School and his B.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia.

David Austin

David Austin is Senior Vice President Corporate Development, Strategy and Alliances. David is responsible for developing the company’s overall strategy for business operations and manages multiple strategic functions including corporate development, technology innovation and business alliances along with serving as Chief of Staff to the CEO. David joined Avaya from Xeeva, Inc. a leader in cloud eProcurement, where he served as its Chief Operating Officer. Previously, David worked in the advisory practice at PwC and prior to that he was co-founder of Contextware, Inc. an award winning business process and knowledge management software company. He has held multiple management roles at Manugistics, Visteon and MCI Communications. David earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Masters in International Business and Transactions both from George Mason University.
Vito Carnevale
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Vito Carnevale is Avaya Senior Vice President and General Counsel, starting this role in November 2022. He was Avaya Global Vice President and General Counsel from August 2021 to October 2022. Vito also served as our Vice President and Deputy General Counsel from July 2016 until July 2021. In addition, Vito has served in various other leadership roles in Avaya’s Legal Department from 2009 through 2016. Prior to his time at Avaya, he served as Vice President, Law at Vonage Holdings Corp., from May 2006 until March 2009.
Anna-Marie Crowley
Chief Human Resources Officer
Anna-Marie Crowley is the Chief Human Resources Officer. Anna is responsible for leading Avaya’s HR team, which includes strategic HR planning; mergers and acquisitions; international resource planning; new business; talent recruitment, engagement, development & DEIB. In her previous role at Avaya she served as Head of Talent Development, Recruitment and DEIB.
Anna joined Avaya from Sacramento Municipal Utility District, where she was HRBP to the CEO and the HR team responsible for HR strategy, Learning and Development, Process Excellence, and employee engagement. Prior to this Anna had transitioned to the US from Ireland when working as Global Vice President of Organization Capability and Effectiveness with Wyndham Exchange and Rentals for 10 years. Previous experience included working in a European start-up airline with BA and running an English Business school in Italy.
Anna grew up in the UK but has lived and worked in several countries including Italy, Germany, Ireland, and Canada after completing her postgraduate studies at Warwick University, UK.
Fred Hayes
Senior Vice President, Global Business Operations
Fred Hayes is Senior Vice President, Global Business Operations. He is responsible for functions including IT, Sales and Operations Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Worldwide Procurement, Supplier Quality, Order Management, Collections, and Real Estate.
Prior to joining Avaya, Fred was Vice President, Procure to Pay at Autodesk where he led a major transformation and significant improvement in cost savings and cash flow. He also spent ten years at Dell in multiple leadership roles, including Vice President, Global Materials responsible for the supply chain strategy, global inbound logistics and overall responsibility for continuity of worldwide supply. He previously held supply chain and operations positions at several high tech companies including HP, Compaq and Sun.
Fred holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Northeastern University.
Kim Howland

Kim Howland leads all marketing efforts in support of the iconic Avaya brand, including: solutions, digital and field marketing; corporate communications; events; sales enablement; and influencer relations. She’s a forward-thinking marketing professional known for her strategic mindset, data-driven approach, and collaborative leadership style. Kim has a passion for creating a sense of community in motivating and developing teams to outperform expectations as they position the company for growing success.
Galib Karim
Global Vice President, Latin America Sales
Galib Karim is Global Vice President of Latin America Sales and is responsible for a combined operational region that covers the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada, and Brazil.
Galib joined Avaya in 2010 as the managing director of Avaya Mexico after the Nortel acquisition. Since then, he’s expanded his role into a variety of leadership positions. Prior to joining Avaya, he held leadership roles at Nortel, Bay Networks and Intersys.
Galib holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences and Management from Tecnológico de Monterrey and leadership certifications from London Business School and Carleton University.
Amy O’Keefe
Executive Vice President and Head of Finance
Amy O’Keefe is the Executive Vice President and Head of Finance at Avaya, bringing over 30 years of global financial experience and leadership to her role in private and public companies. Most recently, she was the CFO for WW International, Inc, better known as Weight Watchers, a publicly held weight management company.
Before WW, she held CFO positions for over a decade for several private-equity portfolio companies, mainly in the consumer products space and all needing transformational change to unlock value. For nearly half of her career, she held various executive roles at The Black & Decker Corporation, culminating into the CFO of the Worldwide Power Tools and Accessories Division. She began her career at Ernst & Young and is a long-inactive Certified Public Accountant.
Amy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland. She and her daughter currently reside in New York, New York.

Interim Chief Financial Officer
Becky is an experienced CFO and leads complex client engagements by way of a collaborative leadership style and a hands-on approach. She has an extensive background in providing advisory and C-suite interim management services for companies in a broad array of industries. Becky is on the advisory boards of Texas Wall Street Women and Peach Outreach and is a member of the United Way Women’s Initiative in Houston. She was a 2013 winner of "Consulting" magazine’s Women Leaders in Consulting and in 2014 received the TMA’s Turnaround of the Year Award for her work at Kodak. In 2017, the Houston Business Journal named her as “A Woman Who Means Business.”
Shefali Shah

Shefali Shah is Executive Vice President. She is responsible for strategic initiatives, which are to be implemented under the Chief Executive Officer’s direction.
Shefali joined Avaya from Era Group, one of the largest helicopter operators in the world, where she served as SVP, general counsel, and corporate secretary. Previously, Shefali held several senior management roles with Comverse Technology, Inc. She began her legal career at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar, P.C.
Shefali holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, and a Juris Doctorate in Law from Duke University Law School.
Tim Sherwood
Global Vice President, Product Management
Tim Sherwood is Global Vice President of Product Management and is responsible for product and offer strategy. Focusing on creating meaningful experiences, Tim drives the roadmap that enables our customers to transform how their employees and end customers communicate and collaborate. Tim has been with Avaya since 2020, previously leading Solution & Technology operations to accelerate software development and product lifecycle processes. He brings over 25 years of experience in the communications industry, and before joining Avaya, Tim led the Mobility and IOT business within Tata Communications. Tim has held senior-level positions throughout his career and managed global teams focused on business development, product management, and commercial operations.

Todd Zerbe
Senior Vice President, Engineering
Todd Zerbe is Senior Vice President, Engineering. Todd leads the company’s engineering functions, teams and programs globally, helping Avaya to innovate the best platform and applications meeting the needs of customers across multiple vertical markets and geographies. He brings more than twenty-five years of software development experience to Avaya. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of Product Development at Blackboard, Inc., an educational technology company. Prior to that, he held senior-level positions with contact center solution providers including Genesys and Interactive Intelligence Group. At Genesys, Zerbe was Senior Vice President of Product Development for their CCaaS product. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed large teams and deployments of multiple product lines with a strong focus on contact center technologies.
Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering from Purdue University.

Everything Mark Pollock does is about inspiring leaders and their teams to build resilience and collaborate with others so that they achieve more than they thought possible.
Unbroken by blindness in 1998, Mark became an adventure athlete competing in ultra-endurance races across deserts, mountains, and the polar ice caps, including being the first blind person to race to the South Pole. He also won silver and bronze medals for rowing at the Commonwealth Games and set up an international motivational speaking business.
In 2010, a fall from a second-story window nearly killed him. Mark broke his back, and the damage to his spinal cord left him paralyzed. Now he is on a new expedition, this time exploring the intersection where humans and technology collide to cure paralysis in our lifetime.

As an accomplished communications industry veteran with significant tenure in both AT&T and BT Global Services, she brings valuable insights and focus to the needs of our customers in a support environment. Jerry Dotson

Jerry Dotson is Vice President of Avaya Government Solutions, a global provider of business collaboration and communications solutions and a key technology partner for the US Federal, State, and Local Government. In his current role, Jerry has overall responsibility for business supporting the mission of all the US Federal (Civilian & Intel) and Department of Defense customers.
Jerry joined Avaya in 2005, supporting the Public Sector for Avaya. Before his current role, he was the Regional Sales Lead for Avaya’s Foreign Account Module, HUD, NRC, and EPA. Jerry has over 32 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. His expertise ranges from installation to operations, implementation to engineering, and proposal management. Jerry has supported the government throughout his career and assisted in various challenging requirements, including the first VoIP implementation for the US Department of State.
Jerry received his Ph.D. in 2011 from Kingsbury University. He has a wonderful wife of 24 years, a son currently attending Liberty University, and a daughter who is now a high school senior. Jerry and his wife are very active in their community. They set up and ran a food bank in Fairfax County, VA. The food bank served as many as 500 families a month over the past six years.

Ricardo Gorski is the Managing Director of Avaya Brazil, responsible for the local operation, defining the strategy and revenue generation, and aligning the teams, to deliver the best solutions for the specific needs of each Avaya customer in the country.
With over 25 years of industry experience, the seasoned technology executive has held positions at several leading companies in the sector, including Alvaria, where he drove growth and innovation in the company's Latin America Southern Cone operations. He also served as the Managing Director of Interactive Intelligence (Acquired by Genesys), where he led the launch of the first Cloud 2.0 Omnichannel CC Solution – PureCloud, and led the company's business strategy and operations in Brazil.
Throughout his career, Gorski has demonstrated a deep understanding of the technology industry and a commitment to driving innovation and digital transformation. He has played a vital role in developing cutting-edge technologies and solutions that have helped transform how businesses communicate and collaborate in Brazil and throughout Latin America.

He has more than 15 years of experience across the Globe, with extensive know-how in managing, designing, developing, implementing, and testing Cloud Platforms & CX solutions, and one of the founders of Avaya Experience Platform.
Ahmed is a recognized industry veteran, demonstrating a track record of accomplishments in assisting organizations to achieve maximum benefit from their IT investments. He also holds several patents on Avaya innovations, including the world’s first Social Network for Chatbots.

John Lindsley
Vice President, Channels
John Lindsley leads the North America channel sales team and go-to-market channel strategy at Avaya, a global leader in business communications. His organization includes channel development professionals who partner with technology services brokers (master agents), value-added resellers, distributors, service providers, and direct market resellers to address customers’ business communications and remote work challenges, leveraging Avaya’s integrated communications, collaboration, and contact center solutions. John and his team focused on a “channel-first” approach to business and relationship development, partner enablement, business transformation, revenue growth and retention, customer and partner experience, demand and lead generation, operational sales, and market management across the SMB, mid-market, and enterprise customer segments.
Lindsley earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Certificates in Management Development and Managerial Leadership from Emory University, and is a Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Kappa member. He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Atlanta with their three daughters.
Juan Manuel Mesa
Director, Avaya Colombia
Mesa has over 20 years of experience leading digital transformation projects aimed at different industry segments, building and implementing strategies and market analysis, and developing plans for the commercial development of various business units at a regional level.
Previously, Mesa was General Manager for Oracle Colombia & Ecuador, the company he held in addition to the Public Sector Director and Systems Manager positions for the Andean Region. At Lenovo, he was business manager for the Enterprise segment, and was at IBM, leading the X86 Systems strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean.
During the last year, Mesa has been included in various Rankings of Top Business Leaders in Colombia.
Juan Manuel Mesa is an electronic engineer at the Universidad Javeriana, with a master's degree in business administration at the University of Thunderbird in Arizona and Tecnológico de Monterrey. He also reports on studies in digital business strategy and emerging technologies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Eric Rossman

Eric Rossman is the vice president of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships at Avaya. He has responsibility for the Avaya DevConnect Program, the DevConnect Marketplace and A.I.Connect. In addition, he is responsible for establishing and managing strategic alliances with companies such as Google, Salesforce, Microsoft and other key technology providers. Prior to joining Avaya, Mr. Rossman has held various sales, marketing, and technology-related positions at Kodak, Lucent Technologies and in the public sector. Fernando Ruiz-Galindo has been with Avaya since 2009 in roles including Sales Operations Leader for Mexico, Sales Operations Leader for LATAM, Cloud Services Sales Leader LATAM, Enterprise Regional Sales Leader for Mexico, and Area Sales Leader for Mexico.
He holds an Electronics and Communications Engineering degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey and a degree in Business Administration from IPADE Business School.
Scott Shoults

Scott Shoults is the Vice-President and General Manager of Avaya Cloud Office (ACO), overseeing the operationalization of the RingCentral strategic relationship. He has been a program leader since the relationship's inception in 2019. ACO is a unified communications as a service (UCaaS) solution offered by Avaya in 15 countries and has been successfully deployed from small business applications to enterprise-class customers.
Scott has been with Avaya since 2015, spending most of that time with products and programs helping Avaya transform the company to cloud. With over 35 years of technology industry experience, he has led Engineering, Sales, and Product Management teams throughout his career. Before joining Avaya, Scott held leadership positions at various companies, such as Cisco Systems and JDSU, as well as several tech startups.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He is a seasoned industry professional with a deep understanding of the cloud and unified communications market and has helped drive Avaya's success in this area. In addition, his leadership and experience have been instrumental in the development and growth of ACO.

His experience managing Avaya sales organizations and our service provider customers' contact centers combined with years of experience in Avaya Services allow him to form great teams focused on business outcomes.

Gaston Tanoira was born in Argentina and resides in Florida. He studied Electronic Engineering at the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires, Argentina and has a Master’s in business administration from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN.
