W. Bruford goes live with unified communications in the cloud from M-Tech Systems, powered by Avaya

Guildford, UK – 2017 – W. Bruford, a family-run jewellery chain based in the UK, has gone live with a new cloud-based unified communications system powered by Avaya. The new server and telephony solution has already improved customer experience, led to dramatic cost-savings and given the business a technology advantage over its competitors.

W. Bruford – which has been operating for over 130 years – runs three stores in Eastbourne, on the south coast of England. Like many other businesses, it has found that more and more of its customers are shopping and buying online.  With its legacy phone system offering limited functionality and nearing end-of-life, W. Bruford brought in M-Tech Systems to conduct a smooth transition to cutting-edge Avaya solutions.

M-Tech Systems, one of the first leading technology providers to offer Powered by Avaya IP Office solutions when they launched last year, conducted an audit of W. Bruford’s existing systems and oversaw an implementation with maximum impact and minimum fuss. W. Bruford rolled out Avaya IP Office, integrated with a cloud-based Citrix server, across all three sites simultaneously – and completed the switchover in just one hour during lunchtime. The technology experts had recommended Avaya as the best option for an all-round solution and a single point of contact for customers.

Following a seamless implementation, W. Bruford quickly reaped the rewards delivered by a system that improves customer experience, offers greater resilience and scalability, and is all hosted in a secure data centre. Staff have benefitted with new cordless handsets on the shop floor, allowing employees more freedom of movement and easier multi-tasking. The business now has a recorded advertising voiceover, allowing it to promote its products even when users are on hold.Above all, the implementation of Avaya’s solution has delivered immediate cost benefits: with VoIP calls, W. Bruford no longer has to pay line rental or call charges, resulting in saving at least £250 per month.
