Santa Clara, Calif. – April 18, 2018— Avaya Holdings Corp. (NYSE: AVYA). When the 32 national professional football teams gather for Draft Weekend in Arlington, TX, they will rely on secure Unified Communications powered by Avaya to make the picks, trades, and transactions that will determine the future of their respective franchises.
Partnering with WBL Services for the Draft Event for the ninth-consecutive year, Avaya will ensure secure, reliable communications between league officials, teams and the 256 players who will be selected over the three-day event. Thanks to the Avaya Equinox™ Experience, team representatives on the field in AT&T Stadium will also be able to connect seamlessly with their respective “war rooms” at team headquarters across the country.

Draft day represents a number of challenges for WBL Services. First, because the event is in a different location each year, the company needs an agile communications solution that can change dynamically and scale-up rapidly. In addition, because communication must be seamless between the stadium and the different systems running in the 32 teams’ respective headquarters, WBL needs a flexible solution that can interconnect with any legacy system. Avaya is uniquely capable of successfully addressing these challenges.
