Knowledge exchange workshops foster international cooperation in line with Saudi Vision 2030, supported by WESA, King Saud University and Avaya
Riyadh, KSA – 2017: Western Experts Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd. (WESA), a leading business communications provider in the Kingdom, is hosting a series of virtual roundtables on sustainable development with students from King Saud University in Riyadh, powered by real-time video communication solutions from Avaya. Following the recently held United Nations Day, and in collaborations with the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development, the initiative aims to share best practices on social responsibility and sustainability.
Speaking from New York using video collaboration solutions, Prigati Pascal, the UN spokesperson for Sustainable Development, shared global insight on goal setting and key findings from successful project implementations.
The all-female initiative will help equip King Saud students to address some of the world’s biggest challenges, including poverty and climate change, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, the blueprint for the Kingdom’s future development. Launched last year, Saudi Vision 2030 will develop important sectors such as education and healthcare, and also includes goals on female empowerment and improved efficiency across different sectors.
"Together, Saudi women and men have achieved impressive development in just one year, and we’re proud to be part of a stronger, more collaborative Kingdom,” said Fadi Hani, Vice President, Avaya Middle East, Africa and Turkey. "Through collaborative communications solutions, ambitious Saudi youth have been able to leverage global expertise from top institutes, straight from their offices and homes.”
