Avaya Scopia Video as a Service Platform Powers New Offering in China

Digital China Video Cloud Powered by Avaya provides enterprises with video conferencing services on a pay-as-you-go model
 
Beijing, China . – 2016-- Avaya, a global leader in business communications software, systems and services, today announced the availability of video conferencing as a service (VaaS) for businesses in China. The service will be delivered to customers through Avaya distributor, Digital China, and is available on a pay-as-you-go model.
 
The Digital China Video Cloud Powered by Avaya enables businesses to purchase virtual video conferencing meeting rooms and soft video clients to connect to these virtual rooms, without large upfront capital costs and other purchase commitments. The pay-as-you-go business model helps enterprises use just what is needed at the time and flexibly accommodate changing business demands for better expense management and profitability. Avaya video conferencing solutions enable organizations to increase productivity while helping employees more deeply engage with colleagues and customers.
 
The video cloud service has been piloted through Digital China in the China market with leading customers including Wandoujia, one of China’s largest mobile app distribution platforms, Kunming Airlines, a regional airline headquartered in China’s Southwestern Kunming city, and Shenzhen Weistek, a leading manufacturer of desktop 3D printers, printing filaments and software.
 
The video conferencing as a service offer is based on Avaya Scopia, the company’s award-winning video conferencing system, and is available now through Digital China.  Avaya’s Cloud Service Providers are certified by Avaya for their commitment to providing  the reliability and efficient transmission required by video and data information.
 
The availability of the new cloud service demonstrates Avaya’s commitment to the China market and its alignment with the country’s “Internet +” vision.  In October, Avaya announced it has established a new legal entity to drive its operations in China to enhance localization in this strategic market with enhanced support for customers and partners. The new offering also reflects Avaya’s ongoing transformation to a software and services-led company.
