Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 2019 - Avaya Holdings Corp. (NYSE: AVYA) has awarded the Arma dei Carabinieri, the national gendarmerie of Italy, with an Avaya International Award for Innovation in Government and Defense.
The award certifies excellence in innovation for projects implemented by public administrations and institutions responsible for the management of public order and defense. It was presented in Dubai to General Vincenzo Galli, Vice Capo Reparto Telematica, Arma dei Carabinieri, during Avaya ENGAGE®, Dubai, the annual event that brings Avaya customers and partners together to discover the future of communications experience and its impact on digital transformation.
The Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) project that earned Arma dei Carabinieri its award initially connects over 12,000 users operating across five administrative regions - and provides for nationwide extension. The solution is based on Avaya IXTM Workplace, a suite of advanced collaboration services, and provides operational benefits that confirm the organization’s communication systems as a strategic asset to that helps guarantee the security of citizens.
