Unlocking Experiences at Avaya ENGAGE 2021

Nothing is the same.  Convention has become the exception and everything about the way we interact and transact has been permanently disrupted.

Through the last, almost two years, one of the things that have stood out to me has been the way many of the organizations that we work with, regardless of industry, government, or non-profit, have faced these challenges head-on, and have adapted to find opportunities for growth and innovation and to serve their customers. They not only have responded to disruptive change but can embrace the opportunity change presents to make their organizations better. Avaya is aligned strategically with organizations like this all around the globe, providing composable, cloud-based innovation and guiding them with an agile and powerful approach to their communications and collaboration needs.

I’m excited for what the future holds, and I’m equally as excited to bring together partners, customers, and the Avaya team in-person for the first time in almost two years. Avaya ENGAGE 2021 is taking place in Orlando December 12-15, bringing together thought leaders and experience innovators for four days of non-stop learning and networking. It’s a big deal, and we hope to see you there.

This year’s Avaya ENGAGE is focused on how we help our customers and partners succeed by becoming Experience Builders. As we navigate a new world of life and business – one that is increasingly dynamic and unplanned – creating better experiences is becoming imperative. This is the Experience Economy and it requires a pivotal shift towards a more tailored engagement with customers and employees. Companies need to replace the traditional product/services mindset with “experience thinking,” while also moving away from siloed development efforts toward more of an ecosystem approach.  

The challenge is clear when you look at how businesses are struggling with customer engagement and departmental silos that add friction to how they communicate and collaborate. A study Avaya conducted found that 80% of U.S.-based businesses are retooling to provide improved customer and employee experiences enabled by new ways of working. This is where adopting a composable strategy can deliver innovation that differentiates your organization and turns your stakeholders into loyal advocates. The Avaya OneCloud platform is designed to give businesses the speed and agility needed to tailor solutions around specific customer and business use cases that are unique to your business rather than one-size-fits-all.

The last couple of years have been challenging for so many of us, both personally and professionally, but we have much to be thankful for as we approach the New Year. Avaya and our customers and partners have achieved so much, and we are excited to celebrate these achievements together and plan for a future of continued mutual success.
