Zang Enhances CPaaS with New Features Rollout
Last week, developers from around the world converged on New York City to enjoy the Big Apple’s largest developer conference and expo, DeveloperWeek. Among the innovative organizations in attendance, Zang played a key role. Zang, the industry’s first all-in-one cloud communications platform and applications-as-a-service provider, was a vital DevWeek sponsor and judge of the nation’s largest challenge-driven hackathon.
Not to be outdone, Zang developers have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to finalize the release of a set of new features through its rollout, which are now available for Zang Cloud customers.
Specifically, there are five pivotal features in this rollout:
Automated speech recognition: Zang is including automated speech recognition, GetSpeech, in response to the increasing demand for a high-quality IVR experience. This service transcribes speech from a caller, and once they’re done speaking, Zang Cloud submits the data to the provided action URL for further handling.
SIP Endpoint Registration: Turning legacy landlines into VoIP-enabled devices has a number of benefits, but it also demands a secure, scalable and easily-managed solution. Included in Zang’s new features rollout is a SIP endpoint registration feature that streamlines the process while answering all the corresponding challenges to successful deployment.
PubSub Service: Zang’s enhanced enterprise callback handling feature is designed to empower developers to use Zang Cloud without exposing their network to outside traffic. While this service is ideal for corporate environments with stringent IT security policies in place, any business concerned about network security can benefit.
Multimedia Messaging Service: In order to provide your customers with the ability to communicate with your brand efficiently and conveniently, Zang is releasing an MMS feature in new features that will now enable you to share audio, images and video with MMS-capable numbers in the U.S. and Canada. It is automatically enabled on number purchases, works with local and toll-free numbers, and even enables landlines!/span>
Text to Speech language support: In order to provide a more inclusive experience, Zang’s new features rollout will expand the offering from 5 languages to 24. In addition, this feature includes better quality voices for both “man” and “woman” attributes. The feature will be considered a beta test for the first 60 days, so don’t miss out on your chance to help shape the future of Zang’s Text to Speech capabilities!
