Pamela Craven

Pamela Craven is the Chief Administrative Officer of Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communications solutions.
 
The Chief Administrative Officer organization includes the following functions at Avaya: Internal Audit; Government Affairs; Human Resources, Corporate Security; Global Trade; Global Real Estate; Ethics & Compliance; Environmental, Health & Safety; Philanthropy; and the Law department. The Law department's practices include corporate & securities law and governance; commercial law & contracting; international law & contracting; labor, employment and employee benefits law; litigation; and intellectual property law and management, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and licensing. Craven also serves as Avaya's general counsel as well as the Company's Chief Compliance Officer.
 
Previously, Craven was Vice President, Law and Corporate Secretary for Lucent Technologies. Craven joined AT&T in 1992 following AT&T's acquisition of NCR Corporation, where she was assistant general counsel and assistant secretary. She joined Lucent directly from AT&T as part of the 1996 spin-off. For a number of years, she was a tax attorney in private practice and at NCR.
 
She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In addition, she earned a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law in Taxation.
 
Craven, a native of Bloomfield, New Jersey, is a member of the University of Pennsylvania Law School Board of Overseers. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of AGC Networks, Limited. (India).
