Avaya (NYSE: AV) today announced enhancements to IP Telephony
capabilities on its award winning voice and data convergence
platform, Alchemy, which targets Small to Medium-sized Enterprises
(SMEs) in Europe and Japan. Beginning in 2001, its availability
will be extended to Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Colombia. The new
Version 2.2 software for Avaya's Alchemy communications solution

Avaya (NYSE:AV) today announced it has named Micky Tsui to lead and
coordinate its company-wide efforts in data and voice convergence.
Tsui becomes vice president, Converged Communications Products, and
will focus primarily on customers' fast-growing needs for
convergence and IP Telephony products, such as the Avaya IP600
Internet Protocol Communications Server. The IP600, announced in
September, became generally available to customers on November 27.

Avaya (NYSE:AV) today announced it has provided a new call center
to Tallahassee Community College (TCC) to help the school handle
the increased telephone traffic resulting from a 10 percent
increase in enrollment. Students are now experiencing half the wait
and fewer busy signals when they call the school. TCC is using
Avaya's CentreVu® Customer Care solution to boost responsiveness to
student requests in Enrollment Services and Financial Aid, despite
a 13 percent increase in calls.

the addition of IP video capabilities to its MultiPoint
Conferencing Unit (MCU). Release 7.1 of the Avaya MCU offers
businesses greater flexibility in holding multi-location video
conferences by allowing participants using H.323 Internet Protocol
(IP) and H.320 ISDN endpoints to join in the same session.
