Avaya SIP Enablement Services 5.0 also includes security enhancements, new SIP-based user mobility features, and is now packaged as an embedded component of the Avaya Communication Manager 5.0 primary controller on the S8300C server platform to provide a more cost-effective SIP solution offer for the small and mid-markets.

Business Benefits

SIP standards allow enterprises to deploy an open architecture that more easily supports the integration of multi-vendor telephony, collaboration, and application services.
Avaya delivers a smooth migration path from TDM to SIP and from H.323 to SIP, allowing enterprises to deploy SIP telephony alongside existing analog, digital (DCP), and IP telephones while maximizing investment protection.
Avaya SIP Enablement Services' user licenses are provided at no additional cost for customers who have purchased Avaya Communication Manager 3.1 and later.
SIP trunking between Avaya Communication Manager, Avaya Distributed Office, Avaya IP Office, Avaya Quick Edition, and SIP Service Providers provides toll arbitrage/avoidance and reduces the hardware footprint for both OPEX and CAPEX savings.
SIP Enablement Services enhances productivity with support for SIP SIMPLE-based presence and Instant Messaging (IM), allowing employees to quickly switch communications from IM to voice at a touch of a button.
