The IP/Ethernet Network Extender products are a unique, low cost, plug-and-play alternative to using expensive routers and switches to extend Local and Wide Area Networks via IP based T1, SHDSL and DS3 formats.  The multi-port versions of these products support loop-bonding in order to increase total bandwidth between locations and support IP based Voice, Video, and Data applications.

What's New With This Release

The Network Extender group of products is a new platform for Avaya that removes costs that are inherent to typical switches and routers. The multi-port solutions also support the industry's first loop-bonding capabilities with IP and therefore reduce the typical overhead required by similar products that are ATM based. The new line of products became available through Avaya when Zhone Technologies acquired Net-to-Net and then subsequently acquired Paradyne Corporation.
