The G150 Media Gateway is designed for smaller-scale deployments of small branch offices with 2-12 users. It is targeted at price-sensitive customers with lower communication intensity requirements, but still looking for a standard level of survivability. The G150 includes a 4-port Layer 2 switch and can be configured with an optional T1, PRI, BRI or WAN interface, as well as survivable voicemail and an integrated 802.11b Access Point.
What's New With This ReleaseThe G150 Media Gateway further extends the reach of Communication
Manager to remote offices with 2 to 12 users. The G150
provides an even more cost-effective means to deliver the
feature-rich communication capabilities of main sites to the
smallest locations, while still maintaining survivability.
Business Benefits• Networked Telephony: The Avaya networked server/gateway
architecture allows enterprises to design and administer telephony
services for all remote branch office locations from one central
location. • Business Continuity: The G150 provides branch office users with a
resilient system that continues to provide telephony call control
even if the connection between the office and primary headquarters
is lost. • Emergency Transfer Relay: An Emergency Transfer Relay (ETR) feature
allows emergency calls even in the event of power failure. • Multi-Protocol Capability: Seamless TDM/IP support allows
enterprises to take an evolutionary approach to IP telephony
migration by maximizing investment protection for many existing
devices. • Converged All-in-One Device: The G150 integrates telephony, data
switching, and wireless into one box, reducing the overhead and
complexity of managing disparate systems.
FEATURES• Multi-Protocol Support • Enhanced Local Survivability • Integrated Data Architecture • Multiple Network and System Availability Options • Survivable Voicemail
