Photo: Pamela Craven Pamela Craven is the Chief Administrative Officer of Avaya. Avaya is a leading global provider of communications networks and services for businesses. The Chief Administrative Officer organization includes the following functions at Avaya: Internal Audit; Government Affairs; Corporate Security; Global Trade; Global Real Estate; Ethics & Compliance; Environmental, Health & Safety; Philanthropy; and the Law department. The Law department's practices include corporate & securities law and governance; commercial law & contracting; international law & contracting; labor, employment and employee benefits law; litigation; and intellectual property law and management, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and licensing. Craven also serves as Avaya's general counsel as well as one of the Company's two Co-Chief Compliance Officers. Previously, Craven was vice president, Law and corporate secretary for Lucent Technologies. Craven joined AT&T in 1992 following AT&T's acquisition of NCR Corporation, where she was assistant general counsel and assistant secretary. She joined Lucent directly from AT&T as part of the 1996 spin-off. For a number of years, she was a tax attorney in private practice and at NCR. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In addition, she earned a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law in Taxation. Craven, a native of Bloomfield, New Jersey, is a member of the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and is a member and former Chair of the Community Advisory Board of New Jersey Network. |
