Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a leading global provider of voice and data networks to businesses, has awarded Mr. Gil Israeli, account manager at Bynet Communication, an Avaya Gold BusinessPartner in Israel, with two tickets to the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ Final, taking place in Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday, 30 June, 2002. The prize, worth over $15,000, also comprises two return flights to Tokyo where Mr. Israeli and the guest of his choice will stay at a five-star hotel.

These tickets represent the top prize in a competition, which ran among Avaya BusinessPartners as part of the 'Win with Avaya' incentive programme, announced in March 2002. Each eligible participant, selling over $165,000 worth of Avaya products, was entered into the prize draw to win the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ Final tickets. Avaya, an official sponsor of the 2002 FIFA World Cup™, is the first official convergence communication partner to be appointed by FIFA for the FIFA World Cup.

The 'Win with Avaya' program is part of Avaya's ongoing drive to develop channel sales as the primary route to market for its contact centre, PBX, data and wireless networking solutions in the EMEA region. It supports Avaya's reseller and distributor partners, both large and small, by motivating and rewarding individuals for accelerating Avaya sales.
