Avaya ranks number one in U.S. market share, with twice the shipments of nearest competitor

Avaya Inc. announced that the company leads the U.S. call center market in both new agent and new system shipments for the year 2000, according to a Gartner Dataquest Report.
Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a global leader in corporate networking solutions and services, today announced that the company leads the U.S. call center market in both new agent and new system shipments for the year 2000, according to a Gartner Dataquest Report. The announcement marks the seventh consecutive year that Avaya has held the number one position for new agent shipments.
 
According to the report, Avaya captured 44.1 percent market share in 2000 with more than 250,000 new agent shipments. The figures represent more than twice those shipped by any other company and an increase for Avaya of 9.6 percent over 1999.
