ALLEGIANT TECHNOLOGY DRIVES BUSINESS RESULTS BY DELIVERING COMMUNICATIONS & COLLABORATION CAPABILITIES WHEN, WHERE, & HOW CUSTOMERS NEED IT

Allegiant Technology, founded in 2003, has over a thousand active clients and employs forty-two associates — mission-specific technologists who average over fifteen years of hands-on technology experience. Allegiant is a technology solution provider, offering data and voice networking expertise, solutions to business communications and collaboration needs, as well as professional and financial services. By allocating mission-specific resources, experienced personnel, and proven methodologies to the IT needs of their clients, Allegiant ensures an accurate, solution-centric focus for each and every client engagement. Allegiant has been an Avaya business partner delivering communications and collaboration solutions built on a foundation of Avaya products and services for decades.

Allegiant offers business technology infrastructure and communications solutions from storage and backup for critical business data to collaboration solutions to drive innovation within their clients’ organizations. In the early days, Allegiant pledged to fulfill customers’ communications needs selling network services and PBXs.

Allegiant assembled an ever-expanding portfolio of communications and collaboration solutions to meet their customers’ increasingly broad range of communications needs, adding new data networking technologies as well as financing and professional services over time. Avaya has been there to support Allegiant through this evolution, delivering solutions and services required to win in the market.

Today, Allegiant can deliver solutions either on premise or hosted within their data center, and offers a broad range of services to support both OpEx and CapEx technology investment strategies leading to more efficient and effective collaboration.

Driving Customer Success

With the success Allegiant had in helping their clientele finance technology solution acquisitions, shifting CapEx to OpEx, they saw a new opportunity to leverage dedicated hosting and multi-instance cloud deployments of Avaya solutions to provide greater reliability to their customers and more predictable financial performance for their investors. Allegiant decided that the move to cloud would be a cornerstone of their future success.

The managed services landscape continues to evolve rapidly as organizations are discovering they can impact both bottom-line and top-line growth.

Allegiant consulted with market experts like Nemertes Research to confirm that nearly three-quarters of the market believed that cloud hosted communications and collaboration solutions would improve their flexibility and reduce their costs and that the majority of Cloud UC deployments were considered to be a success.1 Forrester Research reported that about ten percent of the market (for both Enterprise and SMB segments in North America) would move their unified communications solutions from self-provisioned and maintained on-premise solutions to some form of managed or cloud hosted model.2

Cloud Offers & Plans

When Allegiant first started thinking about hosted and cloud services, they knew that customers wanted an always available solution, so the infrastructure and architecture they chose would be critical. Allegiant builds virtualized solutions using off the shelf hardware running VMWare virtualization software and they have storage area networking solutions from NetApp. Allegiant chose to install their infrastructure in a state of the art, SSAE-16 certified, Energy Star compliant data center with multiple redundant power, cooling and network connectivity options located 125 feet below ground in a limestone cave outside Kansas City, MO.

Allegiant President Bryan Dancer believes that cloud storage and backup are critical components to win the trust of his customers, saying, “It’s probably the most top-of-the-mind subject that we think about."

We want to know as little as possible about their data but still be able to advise and manage their network and backups.”3

Bryan Dancer, President and CEO, Allegiant Technology

Building on this rock-solid foundation, Allegiant has delivered UCaaS (‘Unified Communications as a Service’) in both a dedicated hosted architecture, as well as a multi-instance configuration running on a single set of virtualized computing platforms based on Avaya’s award-winning IP Office. Serving customers with up to 2,000 lines in service, Allegiant has also been able to offer contact center functionality from the same infrastructure. In the future, Allegiant plans to offer Avaya Live Video Services and well as the exciting new customer engagement solutions being jointly developed and launched by Avaya and Google. Allegiant is building the capability to deliver any communication or collaboration service on any device that their customers need to improve the effectiveness of their businesses.

Business Results

“The managed services landscape continues to evolve rapidly as organizations are discovering they can impact both bottom-line and top-line growth,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company, when naming Allegiant one of the top managed services companies in Kansas. “Allegiant is focused on proactive service and supporting clients as they invest in superior technology and telecommunications solutions,” said Bryan Dancer, President and CEO at Allegiant Technology. “To be officially recognized as one of the top 500 companies in our industry is an outstanding honor that our team is very proud of.”4

Allegiant has reduced the time required to deliver cloud-based communications and collaboration solutions allowing their customers to act more nimbly and rapidly. Allegiant has continued to grow their top line revenue based on deploying secure reliable cloud services which now account for fifteen percent of their business, after having launched cloud-based engagement solutions just 9 months ago. President & CEO Bryan Dancer feels more confident in his company’s future as they migrate to an annual contract based revenue model with customers happily committing to three and five year contracts because they know that Allegiant can shoulder the technical and financial responsibilities for them efficiently and effectively.

When considering cloud based engagement solution platform providers, Dancer says the decision was easy.

“Avaya allows me to scale my business, growing with customer demand. I can be open-minded when offering customer and team engagement solutions – meeting my customers’ need for on-premise, managed, or cloud solutions while leveraging a single skill set to deploy, manage, and maintain all of the deployments.”

Allegiant customers have seen success when adopting cloud services – driving growth and profitability for a wide variety of customers including:

  • Jurox – This Australian veterinary pharmaceutical company was expanding to the US office and needed a communications and collaboration solution for their new offices. The solution had to be ready in a hurry, connect seamlessly to the home office in Australia, and enable remote workers to connect and collaborate. Allegiant was easily able to integrate their hosted IP Office offer to Jurox’s Salesforce.com application – a key requirement that differentiated the offer. A UCaaS solution based on a hosted IP Office Platform was the right fit, and has delivered real benefits for Jurox, coming online before the offices were fully open and connecting US-based employees with each other and the home office.

  • Interface Technologies Northwest – This telephony services provider realized that migrating to the cloud required a significant investment in security – both physical and cyber. They turned to Allegiant as a provider of choice for hosted Avaya IP Office solutions for their existing and new solutions. Leveraging the investments already made by Allegiant in secure, cloud based computing, storage, and collaboration solutions meant that Interface Technologies Northwest could rapidly offer service by partnering with a firm that shared their commitment to customer support.

  • Challenger Sports – Challenger Sports is a Lenexa-based organization that provides clinics, camps and uniforms for the burgeoning soccer industry in the US. With over seventeen offices throughout the US and growing, they had a need to update their infrastructure and link all of their facilities together. Earlier this year, Allegiant put together a traditional premise-based proposal, but senior management terminated the project due to the massive one-time expense. Not to be deterred, Challenger’s IT manager, who had visited Allegiant’s data center and was well-schooled on the functionality of Avaya IP Office, decided to start implementing cloud-based UC one site at a time. This action triggered the replacement of their disparate premise-based systems (from 8 x 8 or Cbeyond) as their agreements expired or they moved to new facilities. Since the April seminars, Challenger has already committed to move collaboration capabilities in two of their offices to Allegiant’s cloud-based IP Office solution and plans to continue this migration over time.

Allegiant is proud to serve the needs of customers in a way that mitigates risk and improves their business performance. Based on rapid access to new features and capabilities, seamless deployments to new locations, standards-based integration with other business applications and processes, or improved security and reliability, Allegiant’s customers are rapidly adopting their cloud-based collaboration solution based on the award-winning IP Office Platform.
