Cara Jewellers Powers Expansion Plans with Avaya SDN Fx

Leading Dubai-based jeweler deploys next-generation networking technology to support expansion plans in Qatar and Europe and to centralize operations
 
Dubai - UAE, 2016: Avaya, a global leader in business communications software, systems and services, announced today that Cara Jewellers, one of the leading jewellery traders and manufacturers in the United Arab Emirates, has deployed the innovative Avaya SDN Fx fabric networking technology to support its expansion plans and reduce costs.
 
Established in Dubai in 2004, Cara currently operates seven retail shops and two manufacturing units. The company is looking to add sites in the UAE, and to expand operations abroad, with shops planned for Europe and Qatar in the coming year. Cara also wanted to centralize its IT infrastructure, including its IP surveillance system for security, and enable mobile access for all employees via WiFi, while controlling communications costs.
 
With Avaya SDN Fx, all management software is centralized, with a single administrator managing the entire IT operation. Services can be easily extended to any location anywhere in the world, with all members of staff connected through a single wireless system. With Fabric, Avaya provides different zones for CCTV, telephony and the network, making the system virtually impossible to hack, and all camera feeds can be monitored from a central location.
