Avaya Appoints Gordon Blackie as Vice President, Americas International

Experienced leader will focus on growing Avaya’s enterprise and midmarket segments
 
Markham, ON, – Avaya today announced the appointment of Gordon Blackie as Vice President, Americas International (AI) Theater Sales, where he will oversee sales, service and support across Avaya’s portfolios of Unified Communications and Collaboration, Customer Experience Management, Networking Solutions and Small and Medium Business technologies.
 
Gordon Blackie brings more than 25 years of experience, combining a technical foundation in IT and Telecom with sales, technical and leadership skills. His focus will be to deliver tremendous business value through Avaya’s engagement portfolio of solutions for the enterprise and midmarket segments in AI.
 
Gordon Blackie will continue to execute on the growth strategy put in place by his predecessor Michel Houde - who will be taking on a new role inside Avaya leading key strategic initiatives for the sales organization.
 
As Avaya’s traction in the midmarket continues to grow worldwide, with more than 425,000 IP Office systems in use by companies supporting more than 15 million users, Gordon Blackie is tasked with furthering Avaya’s new segmentation model and continuing momentum in Canada, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean and South America.
