BT Wholesale and Avaya Sign 10TH Partner for Cloud Solution

22 Jan 2015
London – BT Wholesale and Avaya have signed the 10th UK channel partner to the Avaya Cloud Solution early adopter programme; a significant milestone for the Avaya Cloud Solution ahead of its launch later this year.

The latest partner, 4Net joins others that include: Comec; Digital Exchange Products; Exchange Communications; G3 Comms; IP Integration; Maintel; Reeves Lund; Pennine Communications; and Worldstone.
Avaya Cloud Solutions, delivered by BT Wholesale, provides a genuine ‘pay as you grow’ model for both the end customer and the channel partner. By making it possible for channel partners to purchase capacity and services only when their customers require, and removing the usual upfront purchase commitments, Avaya and BT are offering the UK’s first genuine utility cloud service. Channel partners will be able to deliver Avaya Customer and Team Engagement Solutions, based on the company’s market-leading Avaya Aura® Contact Centre (CC) and Unified Communications (UC) capabilities, to their midmarket and enterprise customers as a true utility, carrier grade, cloud-based service. The service is based completely within BT’s infrastructure, enabling BT Wholesale to control and manage the quality of every aspect of the service with guaranteed service levels, another industry first for the UK market.
The joint service, from two of the world’s most established communications providers, is available to new and existing customers with a managed migration path for existing customers to help them evolve from on-site to cloud based services. This ‘pay as you grow’ utility model helps mid-market, enterprise and government customers align their expenditure with their usage requirements, avoiding the need for long-term commitments which result in excess under-utilised capacity and divert scarce capital from core activity. It is designed to enable businesses to respond quickly and flexibly to their customer demands, deepen their end customer engagement and improve revenue generation.
This service will be available exclusively from accredited channel partners through BT Wholesale.
On signing up to be the latest partner, Richard Pennington, Director at 4Net Technologies, said “4Net has established itself as one of the UK’s leading service focused communications specialists, and Avaya Cloud Solutions, delivered by BT Wholesale, is a natural extension of our customer offering. Avaya Cloud Solutions will allow us to build on our Avaya Aura strengths, and combined with BT Wholesale’s network and service delivery, we will be perfectly placed to meet the growing demand from our customers for cloud based services. What really excited us was the ability for us to control our own commercial strategy, and differentiate through our service and support, and we are delighted to be at the forefront of this transformational initiative.”
James Hennah, Director, Channel & Carrier, BT Wholesale said: “Having a number of partners signed up to our early adopter programme is a testament not only to the Avaya Cloud solution but to the confidence channel partners have in it and us.  The shift from on-site to cloud based services is gaining momentum and we are looking forward to working with our partners to lead that charge.”
Joe Manuele, vice president of Global SP-SI, Alliances and Cloud, Avaya said: “For any organisation that sees profitable customer and team engagement as part of their business success, Avaya Cloud Services can be tailored to suit their needs. The eagerness of our channel partners to adopt Avaya Cloud Solutions as part of their portfolio confirms we are delivering a service that provides the level of flexibility, scalability and reliability that end customers want.”
