Singapore - Avaya, a global provider of business communications and collaboration systems and services, today announced that it has been awarded the 2014 Frost & Sullivan ASEAN and Thailand Unified Communications Vendor of the Year Awards, as well as the Thailand Enterprise Telephony Vendor of the Year Award.

The Unified Communications Vendor of the Year award is conferred to the technology vendor that has shown exemplary growth and performance throughout the year. Evaluation criteria include overall revenue and revenue growth, market share and market share gain, UC strategy and portfolio diversity as well as key achievements during the year.

Companies across South East Asia are increasingly looking to technology solutions that help them drive better engagement among their teams, deliver a more complete suite of collaboration solutions that enhance employee productivity, and allow the flexibility for increasingly mobile workers to access essential corporate systems safely and securely – regardless of where they are or which device they are using.

Avaya Unified Communications solutions support companies of all sizes with two industry renowned platforms – Avaya Aura for larger enterprises, and Avaya IP Office for smaller and medium sized businesses. Regardless of their size, companies demand the most effective mix of voice, video and mobile collaboration solutions that are simple to use, rapid to install, cost-effective to manage – and available in the deployment model best suited to their individual needs. All Avaya solutions are available as on-premises, hosted or Cloud-based solutions with the same rich mix of features, built on open standard, and complemented by an application enablement environment which allows companies to customize and install the applications they need. Supported by a next-generation fabric network solution, companies can turn on and manage applications and devices on the fly.

Better engaged teams are proven to deliver significant advantages to business performance in terms of financial returns, customer engagement scores, and reduced cost – directly impacting both the company’s top and bottom line. According to the Corporate Leadership Council, companies with better engaged teams grow profits as much as three times faster than their competitors. At the same time, highly engaged employees are 87 percent less likely to leave – meaning lower costs, better productivity, continuity in service levels and a better drive for results.

”South East Asia is again experiencing significant growth, and we are delighted to be able to help companies of all sizes with a suite of solutions that are absolutely tailored to their needs. The value of technology is in the impact it can have on business results. Our customers constantly tell us how their deployments have delivered increased revenues, better productivity, and helped reduce their costs. These awards reflect the success of our approach, which is to understand our customers’ underlying business goals and propose the solution and model best suited to help drive their success.”
Mike Muller, Asia Pacific President, Avaya

“Avaya had phenomenal success in the ASEAN region in 2013. It outperformed the unified communications market and took market share from its competitors. The success of the vendor was driven by exceptional growth from its IP office and Scopia solution. Avaya strengthened its position in industry verticals such as BFSI, telecommunications and government sector and expanded into newer verticals by offering IP Office. Its success in Thailand has been remarkable with high double digit growth in the UC space.”
