Who: Avaya is a global provider of business collaboration and communications software and services, providing unified communications, contact centers, networking and related services to companies of all sizes around the world. The Avaya Fabric Connect portfolio is powering the InteropNet backbone at Interop 2013 in New York City.  This network will be a true showcase of networking innovation where multiple technology vendors come together to build a highly resilient network for an event attended by their customers and peers.

What: The InteropNet NOC is a true multivendor network, operating under the demands of a highly dynamic event.  Avaya Fabric Connect which is powering the network represents a completely new way to design, build and operate networks. It eliminates complex protocol overlays to deliver a simple, more streamlined network that are easier to manage and troubleshoot. New network services and changes to services are enacted at the edge only (eliminating complex device by device provisioning), ensuring that adds, moves and changes can be accommodated quickly and without risk.  This event will  leverage fabric based technology from the NOC all the way out to the show floor.
