  • SIP trunk solution is compatible with Avaya Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) solutions
  • Helps businesses deploy UC&C platforms with secure, interoperable session-based communications
AUSTIN, Texas--DoubleHorn Communications, a leading provider of managed communications, hosted IT and cloud services, today announced that its SIP trunking solution, SIPedge™, is compliant with key UC&C solutions from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication solutions.

SIPedge is ideal for enterprises seeking secure, interoperable and tightly integrated session-based communications. Enterprises challenged by managing multiple sites or 'bring your own device' (BYOD) management that need to enable UC&C applications such as voice, video and mobile can deploy the trunking capacity they need almost instantly with SIPedge. The application is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.2, Avaya Aura® Session Manager 6.3 and Avaya IP Office 8.1.

"As a managed services provider, it is our role to ensure our customers benefit from innovations based on open, standards-based platforms that help them incorporate new technology easily and cost-effectively and uncover new possibilities for getting more out of their communications infrastructure," said Tab Schadt, CEO, DoubleHorn. "Now that we are Avaya compliant with Avaya Aura and IP Office, we can enable more rapid, less complicated and more cost efficient adoption of UC&C applications by our customers."

DoubleHorn Communications is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.

As a Technology Partner, DoubleHorn Communications is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"Technology partners such as DoubleHorn help enable the adoption of Avaya solutions by providing managed services such as secure and interoperable hosted SIP trunks, integration deployment support and ongoing network and telco services," said Eric Rossman, vice president, Developer Relations, Avaya. "DoubleHorn’s SIP trunk solution provides our mutual customers faster and more cost-effective deployment of IP Office and Avaya Aura."
