10 Apr 2013
Sagemcom, a global leader in advanced fax server solutions for IP networks, today announced that XMediusFAXTM 7.0 is now compliant with key communications and collaboration solutions for SMBs from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication solutions.
XMediusFAXTM 7.0 helps businesses leverage their IP network and IP telephony initiatives, by allowing users to easily and securely transmit orders, records, reports, and confidential documents directly from popular Microsoft Office products, ERP and CRM applications. The application is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya IP Office 8.1. It is supported for use with both IP Office 500 and IP Office Server Edition.
"With this successful Compliance Testing, we are proud to provide Avaya’s small and midsize customers increased confidence in product interoperability and successful deployments within their enterprise environment", stated Jean Champagne, General Manager Sagemcom Canada.
Sagemcom is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.
As a Technology Partner, Sagemcom is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
"Technology partners like Sagemcom are helping Avaya tap the full potential of next-generation collaboration with new opportunities to provide small and midsize businesses with affordable, yet high-capability faxing solutions," said Eric Rossman, vice president, Developer Relations, Avaya. "Fax over IP (FoIP) is a vital component in unified communication and we are pleased that XMediusFAXTM 7.0 has been tested with the latest release of Avaya IP Office."
