ST. PETERSBURG, Russia - Speech Technology Center (STC), a world leader in voice-based solutions in speech recording, processing and analysis, today announced that its VoiceNavigator platform and Smart Logger II call recording and monitoring system are compliant with key collaboration solutions from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration systems, software and services.
VoiceNavigator enables businesses to manage calls automatically using synthesis and speech recognition technologies, providing reliable voice quality while reducing customer service costs. The application is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Voice Portal 5.1.
Smart Logger II helps businesses record voice conversations and enables instant access to recorded data for analysis or investigative purposes. The application is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.0.1 and Avaya Aura® Application Enablement Services 6.1.1.
"I am delighted STC's VoiceNavigator and Smart Logger II applications were rated "Avaya compliant," said Mikhail Khitrov, Speech Technology Center CEO. “Innovative solutions based on open, standards-based platforms allow our clients to incorporate new technology easily and cost-effectively and help create new opportunities for getting more out of their communications network."
One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of STC and Avaya solutions is North-Western Macroregional Branch of OJSC "Rostelecom," Russia's national telecommunications company. The branch developed and scaled a new information service using STC voice synthesis and voice recognition technologies on the Avaya Voice Portal platform. The branch used VoiceNavigator to manage 1000 clients simultaneously using automatic voice synthesis—one of the first voice technology implementations at such large scale in the Russian Federation.
STC is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.
As a Technology Partner, STC is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their networks without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
"STC's latest updates to their VoiceNavigator and Smart Logger II products have undergone rigorous interoperability testing," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations at Avaya. "By working with companies like STC to ensure compatibility, Avaya customers can confidently upgrade and leverage the latest technologies from Avaya."
