MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. - Rauland-Borg, a leading manufacturer of Nurse Call communication solutions, today announced that its Responder 5 Nurse Call system is compliant with key collaboration solutions from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration systems, software and services.

Responder 5 helps hospitals keep their patients and caregivers connected by utilizing an open infrastructure to integrate with complementary technology including wireless phones and real time locating systems. The Responder 5 system is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.0.1 with Session Manager 6.1, and Communication Manager 5.2.1 with SIP Enablement Services 5.2.1.

"Communication within hospitals is essential to ensure the patient receives the proper care," said Maureen Pajerski, VP of Sales and Marketing, Rauland-Borg. "By integrating Avaya's wireless IP telephony solutions with Responder 5 Nurse call, our customers are able to connect the patient to the caregiver immediately for improved patient care, safety, and satisfaction."
