  • This is why the 911 trials are limited. 911 is a pointer to a five digit short code that terminates at a specific PSAP. Location isn't sent, and there are questions as to if call back is even possible. They are typically restricted to a single PSAP, and a single carrier.   • The goal is not to overload first responders with more information than they can process. The goal is to get the first responder to where they need to be through the quickest possible process. Some of that process is technology based, however don't count out the human side of the equation. If technology is not affordable, it won't be deployed. That's obvious by the level of 911 remediation that we find in the enterprise today. Fixing the problem doesn't always mean solving the problem....more
