Good day all! Guy Clinch here, advocate for the government customer in Avaya’s product development organization. Welcome to this week’s episode of Avaya Tech Talk.

Tech Talk is designed to highlight the robust and growing community of Avaya technology partners and the unique solutions that they participate with Avaya to provide to government customers across the globe.

Today please allow me to introduce you to Wayne Ianuario, MAC Source Communications’ Vice President for the Southeast United States. Wayne, welcome to Avaya Tech Talk.

[Wayne] Well thank you Guy.

[Guy] Wayne please describe your company: What is your company’s primary focus?

[Wayne] MAC Source Communications received the 2012 Avaya U.S. Mid-Market Partner of the Year award at the Americas Executive Partner Forum in Cancun, Mexico.

As an Avaya Platinum Partner, MAC Source Communications offers an unparalleled depth of expertise in business communications solution consulting and telecommunications system design, implementation and management services.

[Guy] How many people are there in your organization?

[Wayne] We have close to 175 people at MAC Source. We have grown significantly in the Southeast over the past 12 months.

[Guy] What geographic areas do you serve?

[Wayne] We are a nation-wide solutions partner with Avaya with headquarters in Syracuse, NY. In the Southeast, we cover Southern Ohio, KY, WV, TN, GA, AL, NC and SC with SALES, ENGINEERING and FIELD SERVICE SUPPORT personnel.

[Guy] What unique specialties does you organization offer?

[Wayne] We consider ourselves experts in the Contact Center, Unified Communications including Video as well as Data Communications space. Our customers range from Commercial to Government, Education and Healthcare solutions.

[Guy] What unique applications have you deployed for government customers?

[Wayne] One of our more recent government customers is the City of Chattanooga.

MAC Source Communications was chosen as the sole Avaya Business Partner for the City of Chattanooga Telecommunications Contract. This multi-year contract covers unified communications and the integration of SIP, VoIP, Digital and Analog communications throughout the city.

[Guy] What are you the most proud of in the solutions you’ve provided to the City of Chattanooga?

[Wayne] This contract will allow the city to upgrade their existing, multi-vendor platforms and technologies and enable a SIP-based session management communications voice infrastructure, built on the Avaya Aura UC Platform.
MAC Source will be implementing a world class, robust and resilient voice and data communications infrastructure from Avaya, which will increase productivity and business agility.

[Guy] Are there any other examples of solutions you have provided to customers in other industries besides government that you’d like to talk about? This may include solutions for industries including financial services, healthcare, education, etc. can be applicable use cases to the government customer.

[Wayne] We are working with a number of Healthcare clients in the Southeast around contact center solutions – Dialers, Mid-market and Enterprise Multi Channel solutions as well as Experience Portal and WFO/WFM solutions. A few examples are – BCBS of South Carolina and Alere Heathcare.

[Guy] What other things would you like to say to the Avaya community of customers, sales personnel and ecosystem partners?

[Wayne] Avaya is providing its partners with best of breed technology. We feel its recent acquisition of Radvision and integration of Video into its portfolio is providing partners like MAC Source the ability to grow and expand our solution set to our customers. I must say the Avaya data networking solution set is another example of Avaya providing great technology to its partner base.
