This week leading up to the VoiceCon show has been one of the busiest of the year for me. I've spoke to a wide number of DevConnect partners this week about their solutions and how they link to Avaya's new and existing offers.
I've blogged about some of these partners in previous posts, and before I board my flight to San Francisco, I want to mention two other Platinum DevConnect partners I'll be visiting with at the show.
First up - Acme Packet (booth #401), who'll be demonstrating their Net-Net OSE, a software-based Session Border Controller. As more and more Avaya customers migrate to SIP using Avaya Aura™ solutions, the need to provide secure internet access and seamlessly integrate with hosted E911 services is becoming increasingly important.
Michael Leo, Director of Enterprise and Contact Center Solutions Marketing for Acme Packet will be participating in the panel Securing Converged & Mobile Networks on Tuesday, and will be addressing more of this topic. You can always hear more from Acme Packet by following @aptk_sbc_expert on twitter or following their www.sip-enterprise.com blog.
Also on my list is Empirix (booth #407), who recently completed DevConnect compliance testing of their Proactive Communications Assurance Service for Avaya Proactive Contact. Driven by their proven Hammer technology, Proactive Assurance answers the question "Are my Avaya Proactive Contact application for improving customer service or increasing revenue generation doing just that?" through validation and load testing. It helps organizations mitigate the risks and costs associated with failure, by identifying issues during both pre- and post-deployment phases that lead to time loss, customer dissatisfaction, or lost revenue opportunities.
Empirix will also be demonstrating a new SIP trunk testing solution which applies Service Provider-level tooling to enterprise networks, much like Avaya Aura has brought IMS-like architectures to the enterprise infrastructure. Empirix has told me that this tool can be extremely useful in the migration of contact centers to SIP, as it helps assess and test the various SIP services a contact center may be purchasing from multiple carriers.
You can follow @empirix on Twitter for more updates and information.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT AVAYA! While I've been blogging this week about many of our ecosystem partners, we have a number of exciting solution demos of our own for you to experience at VoiceCon. Make sure you come by the Avaya booth to learn more, and following @avaya and @devconnect for all the voicecon news.
